Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MedyPulse (“MedyPulse”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses and protects information in connection with our website at https://www.medypulse.com (the “Site”).
MedyPulse is a doctor discovery directory for Bangalore, India. We aggregate publicly available information about doctors — such as name, specialty, locality, qualifications, years of experience, publicly displayed patient ratings, and the clinic or hospital they are associated with — from public hospital websites and public doctor directories. We help users find this information and then link them to the doctor’s official page.
Important: MedyPulse is not a healthcare provider. We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, we do not book appointments, and we do not facilitate any doctor–patient relationship. Any decision you make based on information found on the Site is your own responsibility, and you should independently verify details directly with the doctor or facility.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to visitors to the Site and to the doctors and healthcare professionals whose publicly available information is listed in our directory. By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 No account required
You do not need to create an account, register, or provide personal details such as your name, email address or phone number to browse and use the Site. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal or health information about our visitors, and you should not send us any such information.
2.2 Analytics and usage data
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically, including:
- Your IP address (which may be truncated/anonymised by our analytics tools) and approximate location derived from it;
- Device and browser type, operating system, language and screen settings;
- Pages you view, searches you run on the Site, links you click, referring/exit pages, and the date, time and duration of your visit;
- Diagnostic and performance data used to keep the Site secure and working correctly.
We use this information to understand how the Site is used, to measure and improve performance, and to maintain security.
2.3 Directory data about doctors
The doctor profiles on MedyPulse are compiled from information that is already publicly available on public hospital websites and public doctor directories. This may include a doctor’s name, specialty, locality, qualifications, years of experience, publicly displayed patient ratings, and associated clinic or hospital. We do not create private records about doctors and we do not collect confidential or non-public information. Doctors may request correction or removal as described in Section 8.
2.4 Information you send us
If you email us (for example at the addresses in this Policy), we will receive your email address and the contents of your message, which we use only to respond to and manage your request.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our third-party partners use cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage and pixels) to operate the Site, remember your cookie preferences, measure traffic, and — where permitted — to serve advertising.
- Strictly necessary cookies enable core functionality and remember your consent choices.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics / GA4) help us understand Site usage.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense and its partners) support the display of ads, which may include personalised ads.
You can control cookies through our cookie consent banner and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site functions.
4. Google Analytics and Google AdSense
4.1 Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to analyse how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data (such as those described in Section 2.2) on our behalf. This helps us produce aggregated reports about Site activity. Information about how Google uses data can be found at “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”.
4.2 Google AdSense and advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Google and its advertising partners:
- Use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads;
- May use previous visits to this and other websites to serve personalised (interest-based) ads, where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law;
- Act as independent controllers of the data they collect through these technologies, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
You can review and control how Google personalises ads to you through Google’s Ad Settings / My Ad Center. For more information about Google’s advertising practices, see the Google Advertising policies. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies via YourAdChoices (DAA) and Your Online Choices (EDAA).
4.3 Google’s privacy policy
Your use of Google services through our Site is also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
5. How We Use Information
- To operate, maintain and secure the Site;
- To provide the directory and link users to doctors’ official pages;
- To understand usage trends and improve the Site’s content and performance;
- To display advertising and measure its effectiveness;
- To respond to your enquiries and handle correction/removal requests;
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU/UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies and for personalised ads, obtained through our cookie consent tool (you may withdraw consent at any time);
- Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the Site, aggregating publicly available directory information, and basic measurement, balanced against your rights (GDPR);
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable law;
- Under the DPDP Act, we process personal data on the basis of consent or, where applicable, for certain legitimate uses permitted by the Act, including the processing of personal data that a person has voluntarily made publicly available.
7. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to you, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — to know what personal data we hold about you and obtain a copy;
- Correction — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- Deletion / erasure — to request deletion of your personal data;
- Withdraw consent — to withdraw consent for cookies or personalised ads at any time;
- Object / restrict — to object to or restrict certain processing (GDPR);
- Data portability — to receive certain data in a portable format (GDPR);
- Opt out of “sale” or “sharing” and of targeted/cross-context behavioural advertising, and to limit use of sensitive personal information (California CCPA/CPRA). We do not sell personal information for money; however, the use of advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under some laws, and you can opt out via our cookie tool and the ad-industry links in Section 4.2;
- Non-discrimination — you will not be treated unfairly for exercising your rights;
- Grievance redressal and complaints — under the DPDP Act you may raise a grievance with us and, if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India; under the GDPR you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any right, email us at privacy@medypulse.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
8. Doctors: Requesting Correction or Removal of a Profile
We understand that the doctors listed in our directory may wish to correct or remove information about themselves, even though it was drawn from public sources. We are committed to handling such requests promptly and respectfully.
If you are a doctor (or their authorised representative) and would like to correct, update, or remove your profile, please email privacy@medypulse.com with the subject line “Doctor Profile Request” and include:
- Your full name as shown on the profile and a link to the MedyPulse profile in question;
- The specific information you want corrected or removed, and the correct details if requesting a correction;
- Whether you are the doctor or an authorised representative acting on their behalf;
- Reasonable proof of identity or professional identity (for example, a medical registration number or an email from a verifiable official/clinic address) so we can confirm the request is genuine.
Our process: We will acknowledge your request, verify it, and action correction or removal — typically within 30 days. If we correct information, we will update the profile to reflect the accurate details. If we remove a profile, we will delete it from the directory. Because the underlying information may still be published on the original public source, we can only control what appears on MedyPulse; you may separately need to contact the original website. We may decline or defer a request where required or permitted by law, and we will explain our reasoning if we do.
9. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only:
- With service providers and partners (such as Google for analytics and advertising, and hosting/infrastructure providers) who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers as described above;
- Where required by law, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect rights, safety and the integrity of the Site;
- In connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to this Policy.
10. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Analytics data is retained for the period configured in Google Analytics (generally up to 14 months) and in aggregated form thereafter;
- Cookie consent preferences are retained for the duration set for the relevant cookie or until you change them;
- Directory (doctor) information is retained while the profile remains publicly relevant and is deleted following a valid removal request;
- Correspondence is retained as long as needed to handle your request and to meet legal or record-keeping obligations.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Under the DPDP Act, processing of a child’s personal data requires verifiable parental consent; we do not knowingly engage in such processing, and we do not knowingly serve tracking-based or targeted advertising to children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@medypulse.com so we can delete it.
12. International Data Transfers
MedyPulse is operated from India and serves the Bangalore area, but our service providers (including Google) may process data on servers located in other countries, including outside India and the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we and our partners rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law (such as GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses) and transfer data only in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the DPDP Act.
13. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Third-Party Links
The Site links to doctors’ official pages and other third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be highlighted on the Site where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy.
